1. Choose the Right Mask
Selecting a high-quality mask is essential. Disposable medical masks or daily protective masks from reputable manufacturers are recommended. Look for masks with soft, breathable inner layers to reduce friction and irritation. For people with sensitive skin, placing a layer of clean medical gauze inside the mask can help absorb moisture and minimize direct contact with the skin.

2. Moisturize Properly Before Wearing a Mask
Before putting on a mask, apply a light moisturizer to maintain skin hydration. Products containing ingredients such as ceramides or hyaluronic acid can help strengthen the skin barrier. Avoid heavy or greasy creams, as they may clog pores and worsen acne. It is also advisable to avoid makeup or sunscreen on areas covered by the mask.
3. Replace Masks Regularly
A damp mask loses both comfort and protective effectiveness. If the inner layer becomes moist from breathing, replace the mask promptly. As a general rule, disposable masks should not be worn continuously for more than 4 hours.
